How to use this template

Copy last week's file and rewrite it; most weeks take twenty minutes. A family who reads only the grey panel should know what to do and when, so put every action and deadline there. Leave out any section with nothing new this week.

Write about the class, never about one child: no names next to grades, behavior or health, and photos only of children whose families have agreed. Most email apps and browsers translate messages; say so once under Get in touch, with who to ask for a printed translation or an interpreter.

At a glance, for example: Field trip forms are due Friday. We finished our plant journals and start measuring on Monday.

Try this at home, for example: Ask your child to find three things in the kitchen that are heavier than a book, and to explain how they know.
